Stephanie Lantry

DVM & Co-Owner

Dr. Lantry, a Wisconsin native, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995 from the University of New Hampshire. She was an Animal Science Major and completed an Honors Thesis in Reproductive Physiology. She then went on to graduate from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She completed her DVM with a thesis on Environmental Toxicology in Sea Turtles. Dr. Lantry then moved to Sarasota in June of 1999 and has worked at the Animal Medical Clinic ever since. She spends her free time with her family and pets.

Kamryn Kurtz

Associate DVM

Dr. Kamryn Kurtz is an Associate Veterinarian at Animal Medical Clinic of Gulf Gate. Dr. Kurtz earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees concurrently from Michigan State University in 2019. In addition to her degrees, Dr. Kurtz is also certified in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture through CuraCore's Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians program. Dr. Kurtz's areas of professional interest include dermatology, integrative medicine, nutrition, surgery, zoonotic diseases, and public health. Dr. Kurtz tries to regularly incorporate concepts of One Health into her daily practice.

Dr. Kurtz began working in the veterinary field as an assistant/technician in 2012 before becoming a veterinarian in 2019. Dr. Kurtz wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. From a young age, she felt a strong bond with animals and loved caring for them in any way possible. According to Dr. Kurtz, the best part about working in the veterinary field is being able to work as a team with other passionate veterinary professionals to improve the lives of animals and educate clients on the important links between human and animal health.

Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Kurtz recently relocated to Florida with her fiancé, Marcel, their Labrador retriever named Leonardo, and their three cats named Eleanor Rigby, Ted Mosby, and Addison Montgomery. In her free time, Dr. Kurtz enjoys collecting and caring for her 200+ houseplants, watching football and hockey, playing tennis, singing karaoke, and listening to music. When she isn't practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Kurtz also loves to make sterling silver jewelry and go thrift shopping.
