Dr. Kurtz began working in the veterinary field as an assistant/technician in 2012 before becoming a veterinarian in 2019. Dr. Kurtz wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. From a young age, she felt a strong bond with animals and loved caring for them in any way possible. According to Dr. Kurtz, the best part about working in the veterinary field is being able to work as a team with other passionate veterinary professionals to improve the lives of animals and educate clients on the important links between human and animal health.

Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Kurtz now lives in Florida with her husband, Marcel, their Labrador Retriever named Fisher, their Italian Greyhound named Edgar, and their three cats named Eleanor Rigby, Ted Mosby, and Addison Montgomery. In her free time, Dr. Kurtz enjoys collecting and caring for her 200+ houseplants, watching football and hockey, playing tennis, singing karaoke, and listening to music. When she isn’t practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Kurtz also loves to make sterling silver jewelry and go thrift shopping.
